Since 1990

Sisterhood in service of
Nepal’s women & children

The Association of St. Mary’s Alumnae Nepal (ASMAN) is a non-profit uniting alumnae to uplift underprivileged communities through education, healthcare and cultural development.

Who We Are

ASMAN (Association of St. Mary’s Alumnae Nepal) a non-governmental, non-profit organization devoted to the cause of aiding and supporting underprivileged Nepali women and children since 1990. Our work and commitment encompasses support in the areas of health, education, cultural awareness and development.

What We Do

Four pillars of our work

Education

Scholarships, tutoring and learning materials for girls who would otherwise drop out of school.

Health

Maternal care, hygiene workshops and free medical camps in rural Nepali communities.

Cultural Awareness

Preserving Nepali heritage while empowering women to lead in their communities.

Sisterhood

A lifelong network of St. Mary’s alumnae giving back together since 1990.

Our Mission

Carrying forward the values of St. Mary's — in service of those who need it most.

Founded in 1990, ASMAN is more than an alumnae network. We are educators, doctors, engineers, mothers and entrepreneurs who pool our time, skills and resources to create lasting change for Nepali women and children living in poverty.

From scholarship programs in rural districts to maternal health camps in the Terai, every initiative is led and funded by alumnae of St. Mary’s.
